I love growing with my clients! Redrock Portrait Design has been in Denver, Colorado for 6 whole years now. Many of my clients I met for the very first time at their engagement session. First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby in the baby carriage! Now continuing to grow their families, I have had the amazing opportunity to photograph them through all of life's best milestones!

Photography is for everyone! I can't tell you how many times I have found random old photo's in boxes, and said "awwwww! Look how little I used to be, look how my mom & dad used to look! I remember that outfit!" I believe looking back on the memories of life is a gift to be cherished forever. Some day, you're going to want those memories to look back on!

Getting to know your photographer is important! Making sure our personalities & style's match will make the experience that much better.

You want to make sure you are hiring a professional, someone that you enjoy being with, get along with, and someone who truly cares! Don't be alarmed if I send you a friend-request on facebook. I am actually friend's with most of my clients, and although you might be a little weird-ed out at first, I love it, and think it's a great way to stay in touch and have an overall great experience during your photoshoots.

Where can I see your reviews?

Thanks for asking! I LOVE reviews! It is so important when making a decision, to know the kind of experience that my clients have. I know personally, I look at reviews for pretty much anything, so I totally understand wanting to see what others have to say about Redrock Portrait Design. You can find reviews on Google , The Knot , WeddingWire , Thumbtack and Facebook

Are you a full time photographer? Do you have insurance?

Yes and Yes! My love for photography started when I was only 12 years old. I have known my entire life that this is what I want to do. It has been a long and rewarding journey to get where I am today, but I couldn't be more proud and grateful! I have been a full time Denver based photographer for 5+ years! Now, what does this mean for you? It means I dedicate all my time to photography, business, and my clients. My business is my baby, and having the time and energy to give you the very best experience is my main goal. I don't ever like to think that anything ever could go wrong, but just in case, I do carry equipment & general liability insurance. Many Colorado wedding venue's actually require this from photographers, so I am all good in that department! Thanks for checking!

Who is your second photographer? Do I really need a second photographer at my wedding?

In my opinion yes! There is something about having those different angles that make your wedding story that much better! Just think, when you are walking down the aisle, don't you want his reaction on camera, AND the photo's of you walking down the aisle? This is very important, but not the only reason I love having 2 photographers. There are also many practical reasons, if you and your fiance are getting ready at the same time, or in separate locations, this is a big time saver, and will insure you get all those detail photo's on your Pinterest board. When it comes to last minute details before your ceremony, having another photographer will ease your mind that nothing will get missed! Some of my favorite photo's from my second photographers are the photo's I might miss because I am directing people or getting the must-have-formal photo's. These are the photo's that just can't be recreated - the laughs, the kisses, the in-between moments. Not to mention, multiple things happen simultaneously at weddings and they're all worth capturing, from getting ready to the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. It is impossible for me to be in two places at once. Do yourself a favor and have 2 photographers at your wedding! I promise you won't regret it.

I work very closely with a small group of other professional photographers. Each of these photographers also own their own businesses, and photograph their own weddings. You never have to worry about having an amateur, or someone who might not be up to my standards at your wedding. I have become close friends with each of these photographers and we work perfectly together. After I learn all the details about your wedding, I carefully select the photographer I feel will fit your wedding best. Each of our photographic styles are consistent and complement each other. I do all the editing. Your photo's will never look "choppy", because each photo will be edited consistently to tell the story of your wedding.

Why do you offer prints or a print credit with every package? Do I have to use it?

Ever hear the saying, "The most photographed generation will have nothing to show for it"? It's true! Everything these days is digital and guess what, no one prints ANYTHING anymore! Well, what happens in the future? Digital formats are changing, who knows if we will ever be able to access our digital photo's, not to mention what happens if you lose those photo's or the hard drive crashes. Is that the only copy you have of those photo's?! Don't get me wrong, I am a digital photography business, everything I have is digital, however, I also print my favorite personal pictures because I don't know if I will be able to access them some day. Along with printing, I also have everything backed up on multiple hard drives. I have been an unlucky one of having hard drives crash, it happens, and it sucks! To think about the fact that those photo's are gone forever, is a sickening feeling. I don't want this to happen to you! So, I ask you to PLEASE backup your digital photo's in multiple places, and get those precious, irreplaceable photo's printed! Another big reason I offer prints or a print credit to you is so that you have a professional finished product. My computer is calibrated to my printing lab, which means the colors will be perfect, and everything I print for you is high quality! The cheap labs do not have the capability of printing high quality products, and the coloring...eek! Oh, and, don't you want to display your beautiful photo's on your walls or a custom made album on your coffee table for others to see? Not just on social media? You don't HAVE to use it, but it's a free gift to you, so why not? You have made an investment on your photography, so why not display it? And just in case you still aren't convinced, read this awesome blog I found here!

Do you offer a referral program?

Yes! I LOVE taking care of my clients! Not only do I offer a referral program for you, but I also lock my clients into their current session prices. With each year that Redrock Portrait Design is in business, prices & session fees fluctuate. If you are lucky enough to be one of my returning clients, you don't have to worry about raised prices. You are locked in at your current session fee for all your future comparable sessions! Cool, huh!? Refer me to your friends & family, and really good things happen! You could be eligible for $ off your next session, free print products, or even a free session! Refer me to your friends & family who are getting married, and the gratitude will really pay off! Just ask your friends & family to mention they were referred by you, when they book with me, so you can reap the benefits! Ready, set, go!

What's the deal with watermarks, filters & photo credits?

Ok, here's the deal with cropping out watermarks and adding filters to your photo's on social media. Just don't do it. It is a BIG no-no. Not only is this illegal, it is frowned upon by your photographer. And you don't want that, do you? Anything that your photographer adds to an image- like a watermark- is considered a part of that image. Altering that by cropping the watermark is a violation of the copyright laws. Once that image gets passed around the social media world, it's nice to know who produced that photo, and give them the proper credit for it. Which brings me to crediting your photographer on social media. Please do this! It lets us know that you appreciate the hard work that we put into creating that photo for you, and that you are proud to display it! We love that, and we need credit too! It may also bring in new clients, which gets you into Redrock Portrait Design's referral program! See how that works :) However, putting a filter on your photo's will probably result in me asking you to take it down. Not to be rude, but, the way I edit my photo's represent my brand. I edit them to look their very best. These photo's are considered an “artistic creation” and adding anything that changes that interpretation of what the photographer produced as the final image is just not right. If you are slapping a pre-made filter on your photo's, and tagging me in it, all it does it make me look bad and confuses future clients. So please refrain from the filters!! Thank you in advance!
