I first had the privilege of photographing this adorable family 2 years ago when big sister Willa was just over 1 year old! We met at a park near their home in Washington Park for an outdoor spring family photoshoot. At the time it was just the three of them, plus Pete the dog of course, and we had a blast playing in the park capturing their playful side. They were brand new to Colorado at the time. Originally from Kansas City, but moved here from NYC where they had been living for the past couple of years. I was excited to help welcome them to Denver with a photoshoot in a fresh new place! We've stayed in touch since that session, via social media, but I was so happy for them when Katie reached out with the wonderful news that they were expecting again! This time a boy!

It was just before Christmas when we got together again for a fall photoshoot to show off Katie's baby bump and some updated family Christmas cards. This time we went into the foothills of Colorado to capture those beautiful mountain backdrops! Off course dog Pete was there as well! I love how this family includes him in all of their family photo's! So special! And he is always SO good for the camera!

Fast forward to February, baby Elliot's due date! He made his debut and blessed everyone around him with his cuteness! This guy is such a little peanut weighing in around 6lbs. He got to go home shortly after he arrived in the world and I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing him shortly after that! I could immediately tell how happy and complete this little guy makes his family. Big sister Willa is so helpful with him and always wanting to hold and snuggle him. I got to see this families new home in Littleton and I just loved the beautiful natural light and how nicely it was decorated. (Katie's got the magic touch!) It definitely made for some great lifestyle newborn photo's in the comfort of their own home! Also, I LOVED seeing framed photo's from our previous photoshoots displayed all over their home. That makes me super happy! I got everyone (including Pete) to snuggle on the bed for some family photo's, and even let Willa jump on the bed for some more playful interactive photo's of her being herself! We had a blast. Little Elliot was prince charming for his very first photo session, he slept the entire time and got into all the natural poses without a fuss. Just love it when that happens!

I am so excited to watch these two little ones grow and watch their personalities develop even more. Photographing this family is such a pleasure and I am so happy they found me! I look forward to many more family photo's to come!
