Scott & Ariana | Boulder Engagement Photography | Boulder Wedding Photographers | Redrock Portra

I love how adventurous and trusting these two are! Like when I say "hey- let's start your engagement session at Chautauqua park in Boulder, then follow me up the road for a few stops that will not disappoint"- even though they've never even been here before! I love when I get to talk with my clients about their engagement photo's vision, and make it come to life for them! Even if it means they don't get the opportunity to check it out before hand. That's some amazing trust that I am so proud of! Yes, most Colorado couples want those beautiful Colorado mountain views, can you blame them?! It's definitely what I specialize in, and I like to think I know all the best spots to guide them in the right direction :)

I started Scott & Ariana's session with something a little out of my norm. I faced them directly into the sun! Yep, I did it. I know there are several photographers out there who are GREAT at doing this. Me- I'm a back lit girl myself. However, I find myself falling more in love with color, and the sunshine directly on these two, in a playful setting, gave me that beautiful sunshiny day color that I was looking for! And I LOVE them! Doesn't it look great on them?!

We didn't spend too much time at Chautauqua park before I drove them up to one of my favorite special mountain view spots, lost gulch lookout! We got lucky with minimal crowds of people and a light breeze to give Ariana the perfect model wind look! When I posed these two on the edge of the rocks (for the views of course ;) ) they were so cute. They were perfectly wrapped up in each others arms and didn't care one bit about the loud crowds of people around them. And you can see it in these photo's! I love how effortless they are with each other and how it comes across in their engagement photo's!

These two make the perfect couple and I cannot wait to see them become Mr. & Mrs. at their Wedgewood wedding in August! It will be such a blast watching them celebrate with their friends and family! I truly enjoyed getting to know them, and I know we will continue to create magic together, as time comes.
