I always love when couples reach out to me early on in their pregnancy. They are so excited and can't wait to book a photo session. This was Ashley & Loren. I heard from these two soon after they found out they were expecting, even before they knew if they were having a little boy or girl. It was fun being able to talk with them and plan for this session so early on, and then when we actually met for the photoshoot, catch up with all the details! Like finding out they were having a little girl!

Ashley & Loren aren't originally from Colorado, and they are living here temporarily. Showing off Colorado beauty in their maternity photo's was important to them. This is where they call home while they grow this baby and raise her for the first very special moments in her life.

I knew the perfect location for them! Gross Reservoir in Boulder is definitely one of my favorite Colorado mountain locations. We met on a Monday and we had the entire mountain to ourselves. It was quiet, peaceful, and a little chili. I actually remember driving to this location and passing through a little storm, but when I arrived it was bright, sunny and perfect out. Not long after we started the session the clouds were rolling in. We had some beautiful lighting and before long, it was snowing! Still made for some beautiful photo's!

Ashley's gorgeous maternity dress was actually perfect for this weather. I thought it gave the perfect "cozy winter" vibe. Photographing Ashley & Loren and the baby bump this day was perfect. I loved capturing their love for each other and their excitement to become new parents. Congratulations to you two! I know you will be amazing parents to this sweet little girl.
