Brandon & Kaitlin live in Texas, but they are planning a Colorado summer wedding! They flew out this past week for their engagement photo's in the beautiful fall colors! It has been a rainy wet week! Probably the rainiest week I have seen in Denver in a long time. Super rare since we have over 300 days of sunshine here, and when it DOES rain, it usually lasts about an hour. We haven't seen the sun in a week at this point! We decided to have fun with it! They brought their beautiful fall clothes (red dress that I'm obsessed with) and umbrella! We had a blast. Other than freezing our fingers and toes off, we danced and (they) snuggled and tried to forget about the nasty weather. I'd say we did a great job! These two met in college a few years ago and got engaged last July. I asked them to tell me about their proposal. I loved the story, so I'm going to write about it :) Brandon has an FJ Cruiser and took it and Kaitlin out to Ouray Colorado for their annual FJ summit. He took her up to the top of Imogene pass (13,500 ft) and proposed to her! She had NO idea! She actually thought he was joking. She told me they hadn't even talked about an engagement, she never looked at any rings and she was blown away! I love when proposals happen like that! I just love surprises! AND I personally love the little town of Ouray, Colorado. I have been to Imogene pass in July a few years ago, and I just cannot explain it's beauty. The wild flowers and views are unreal! Definitely a Colorado must see! These two are a perfect fit for each other. Their love for exploring and each other is contagious. I cannot wait to see what their wedding will bring next June! I am thrilled they chose me as their wedding and engagement photographer! Congratulations again to Brandon & Kaitlin!
